TORF ensures that all its accredited members rigorously adopt and follow the integrity and internal control measures as per TORF Standards.
Fair Play Policy
TORF Standards include a ‘Fair Play Policy’ for playing online rummy by registered users of member operators. Rummy is considered as a social game to be played with your friends or other players on the Internet but colluding with anyone to the disadvantage of unsuspecting opponents should be actively monitored and controlled. Every game should be played fairly using the individual’s own skill. Some of the actions that are classified as ‘Unfair’ are Money Dumping, Cheating, Fraud and Collusion, amongst others. Hence to prevent any form of unfair practices, TORF has established stringent guidelines, as well as actions to be taken against violating players.
Responsible Game-play Standards
Responsible Game-play Standards are laid down to protect players from indulging in game-play beyond their means or for excessive periods of time. In addition, rummy operators should follow player protection guidelines and make sure that no underage player can access online rummy games. These standards include self-exclusion measures, play limits and a program to counsel and advise players displaying aberrant behaviuor.
User Verification Standards
User Verification process is a process that rummy operators use to verify the identity of the players. The main objective of user verification process is to prevent any misuse of business services by illicit elements. User verification standards such as KYC help operators in managing any such risks.
Complaint Redressal Measures
An effective and speedy complaint redressal process is necessary to ensure good quality services. The rummy operator must provide a turn around time along with a suitable escalation matrix for resolving complaints from players.
Communication Compliance
Communication compliance involves rules and regulations that apply to each Federation member on advertising and marketing communication. The rules are designed with an objective to encourage responsible and fair advertising of services. This helps rummy players and other stakeholders be better informed about the services provided by rummy operators.
